General Ring Care:

All of our rings are pieces of art made with the highest quality material. As such the jewelry purchased from Luxurien need to be cared for as fine jewelry. Avoid exposing your ring to chemicals such as cleaning supplies, swimming pools, hot tubs, salt water, etc. Cleaning is simple enough depending on the ring. For most rings, use a microfiber cloth and jewelry cleaner. Meteorite and Damascus steel need a little special care.

Meteorite and Damascus Steel Cleaning:

The best way to protect your meteorite or Damascus ring is to avoid exposing your ring to salt water, swimming pools and hot tubs, and any other harsh chemicals. Submerging these precious metals in these elements will cause the meteorite or Damascus steel to lose its shine and require immediate cleaning. Polishing up your meteorite ring can be done at home with a toothbrush and rubbing alcohol; Damascus steel can be cleaned with a toothbrush or cloth with mineral oil or gun metal oil. For the really stubborn spots, we’ll gladly help bring back your ring’s shine in our shop, free of charge! After it’s been cleaned, a light coating in olive or gun metal oil, along with your body’s natural oils, will protect the meteorite from moisture and keep your ring shining!
